Step 1:
Remove surface level contaminants from the painted surface.

Step 2:
Hand wax, foam pad buff or orbital polish at low rpm.

TYPE B CONDITION:
New or used paint that has light to medium scratches, oxidation, and/or surface contaminants
Repair Products used
for the repair
Follow-up products

    

Step 1:
Remove surface level contaminants from the painted surface.

& #49-Body Shine®
go to step 2 
Step 2: 
Buff with yellow foam pad or wool pad
#50 New Car Glaze
#76 GS-1

#88 XP-Polish
go to step 3
Step 3: 
Select a wax to protect the polished surface. Apply by hand or buffer with finishing pad

TYPE C CONDITION:
Used paint that has heavy scratches, spotting, 1200-2000 grit sandpaper marks, and/or surface contaminants
Repair Products used
for the repair
Follow-up products

    

Step 1:
Remove surface level contaminants from the painted surface.

& #49-Body Shine®
go to step 2 
Step 2: 
Compound with a wool pad or by hand 
#110 Power Cut Plus
#87 XP-Compound
go to step 3
Step 3: 
Always polish after compounding. Use a foam or wool pad, or by hand

Step 4: (optional)
Select a wax to protect the polished surface. Apply by hand or buffer with finishing pad

TYPE D CONDITION:
Used paint that has severe scratches, spotting, peeling, and/or clear coat damage
Repair Products used
for the repair
Follow-up products

    

When the damage is beneath the clear coat or single stage paint, then the surface will need refinishing (repainting).

In some cases, the damage can be repaired by refinishing only the clear coat. If more than .5 mil of material is removed without going down to the base coat, clear coat can be applied by itself.
